Pipette Service and Calibration Options
All pipette service and calibration options are available either on the customer site or at our calibration laboratory using the Return to Base Programme.All pipette calibrations are performed using the gravimetric method in accordance with ISO 8655-6 using 5 and 6dp analytical balances designed specifically for the calibration of single and multichannel pipettes.
As standard, Kinesis Pipetting Solutions service and calibration include the following
Service- All manufacturers single and multi-channel pipettes, manual and electronic
- Complete operation assessment of each pipette
- Examination of all internal and external parts and internal cleaning
- Overhaul of sealing system in accordance with manufacturers procedures
- Manufacturers genuine parts used for all models
- Notification given if major parts need replacing
- Gravimetric test in accordance with ISO 8655-6
- Adjustment where required
- Calibration limits in accordance with manufacture's specifications
- Calibration sticker attached to every pipette
- Calibration certificate supplied with each pipette
- Uncertainty of measurement calculated and reported on UKAS certificate
- Full service report against serialised unit
- Calibration equipment traceability in accordance with ISO 17025
UKAS Calibration - ISO 17025
Kinesis offers two UKAS calibration options
| KPS3-10-UKAS: | 10 reading gravimetric test at minimum, middle and maximum volume of the pipettes working range |
| KPS3-5-UKAS: | 5 reading gravimetric test at minimum, middle and maximum volume of the pipettes working range |
| KPSALLM-UKAS: | Multichannel UKAS calibration of all channels |
All UKAS calibrations are accompanied by a certificate providing full calibration data and pipette performance.
General Calibration
Kinesis offers three options for general pipette calibration
| KPS2-2: | Single channel (2 volumes, 2 readings) - accuracy and linearity check |
| KPS2-4: | Single channel (2 volumes, 4 readings) - accuracy, linearity and precision check |
| KPSALLM: | Multichannel calibration of all channels simultaneously at all calibration levels |
All calibrations are accompanied by a certificate providing full calibration data and pipette performance.
Pre-service and Interim Service Validation
For quality controlled laboratories where traceability is paramount and ensures equipment is used and maintained in accordance with standard operating procedures, Kinesis offers all levels for "as found" calibration, supported by certification.
